There are many herbs that can help to sweeten the breath and reduce the symptom of halitosis.

Although generally these plants and natural oils are found in most kitchens and easy to take, and are generally used for temporary relief of bad breath or to avoid halitosis, there are other natural remedies and tonics that can contribute to a cure.

Some traditional customs are well known such as certain seeds that are presented at the table and guests are expected to follow the custom of eating a few following the meal. There is considerable variety of seeds that can be selected, including personal choice aniseeds, coriander, cumin, and coffee. Have you ever stepped back when a person introduced to you first opens their mouth and speaks?  We have all done that at some time so we know how difficult it is to share close proximity with someone who has a foul breath—the condition we call halitosis.

There are simple remedies for curing embarrassing bad breath.

These can include tooth decay, gum disease, poor digestion, unbalanced diet, constipation, poor food quality, complex cuisine, or unwise choices of food items.
